Meet the Candidate

Troy Holt is a dedicated community leader and entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for serving the people of the community. A lifelong resident of Georgetown, he has a profound understanding and appreciation for the area and its residents.

Following high school, Troy served for two years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford. His military experience instilled in him a strong sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to service. While actively serving his country, he pursued higher education at Horry Georgetown Technical College, earning an associate degree in accounting.

Beyond his military and academic accomplishments, Troy is an active and engaged volunteer in the Georgetown community. He dedicates his time to mentoring young cadets in the Georgetown High School NJROTC Unit and works with other organizations in the area to support those in need.

An avid outdoorsman, Troy enjoys fishing and golfing, which allows him to connect with fellow community members who share his love for nature and recreation. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his ownership of several local businesses, including Pro Grind Stump Grinding LLC. Through this and his future ventures, he seeks to contribute to the local economy and promote job creation in the community.

Now, Troy is considering a run for the South Carolina State House of Representatives to represent District 103. He is eager to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the challenges facing the community. Committed to transparency, accountability, and advocacy for all constituents, he aims to improve the quality of life and economic opportunities for the people of District 103.

As he explores his potential candidacy, Troy looks forward to engaging with residents, listening to their concerns, and working together to shape a stronger future for the district.
